À Lyon, l’exposition Hyperréalisme : ceci n’est pas un corps donne à voir jusqu’au 6 juin 2022 des sculptures extrêmement réalistes de corps humains. Le 25 mars, seront organisées des visites spéciales pour lesquelles il faudra respecter une règle : venir « comme on est », autrement dit dans son plus simple appareil. Un retour à l’essentiel, selon les organisateurs, qui fait sens par rapport au thème de l’exposition.

Carole A. Feuerman est reconnue comme une figure pionnière dans le monde de la sculpture hyperréaliste. Avec Duane Hanson et John De Andrea, Feuerman est l’un des trois artistes qui ont lancé le mouvement Hyperrealism à la fin des années 70 en réalisant des sculptures représentant leurs modèles de manière réaliste. Surnommé «la doyenne du super-réalisme» par l’historien d’art John T. Spike , Feuerman a consolidé sa place dans l’histoire de l’art.
